Fantastic Steampunk Industrial Table Lamp, Large Antique Brass Pressure Gauge
This incredible desk / table lamp is not only a fully functional lamp but also a stunning piece of art. This is the huge lamp and a massive statement piece. It features not 1 but 3 antique pressure gauges, an antique brass water meter and two vintage flow taps and one way valve. It stands over 30 inches in height and weighs 30kg’s. Our design inspiration for this lamp centres around a huge 1950’s 7 inch diameter pressure gauge. This antique gauge came from the Leyland and Birmingham Rubber Company in Leyland Lancashire. We were lucky enough to acquire a number of pressure gauges and boiler room thermometers. This particular pressure gauge came from a rubber moulding press that was made in the 1950s. To highlight the main pressure gauge we used an intricate array of 3/4 inch heavy steel tubing and 3/4 fittings. There are two further antique brass pressure gauges, an antique 3/4 inch boiler room tap and a stunning wheel valve.. All of the brass parts were lightly cleaned and then sealed with clear lacquer so you dont have to spend all of your time polishing them. To support such a large array of antique parts we have made a base from a 1950’s treadle saw drive wheel. This had a fantastic patina when we acquired it and it was perfect for the base. All of the metal parts on this lamp feature welded joints and the entire lamp is sealed with 3 coats of clear lacquer. The lamp is fitted with 3 antique styled brass light fittings which have been professionally wired with period correct braided. There are 3 vintage styled wire frame cages on each light fitting. The Lamp has a generous 1.5 metre cord which has an inline switch and plug pre-fitted. To complete the lamp, we have fitted 3, E27 smoked Edison vintage incandescent bulbs. The gentle soft light from these bulbs brings out all the colours of the lamp. This is not just beautiful lamp but a great piece of art that is guaranteed to be a conversation piece for years to come! The lamp has the following approximate dimensions. Fantastic Steampunk Industrial Table Lamp, Large Antique Brass Pressure Gauge
This incredible desk / table lamp is not only a fully functional lamp but also a stunning piece of art. This is the huge lamp and a massive statement piece. It features not 1 but 3 antique pressure gauges, an antique brass water meter and two vintage flow taps and one way valve. It stands over 30 inches in height and weighs 30kg’s. Our design inspiration for this lamp centres around a huge 1950’s 7 inch diameter pressure gauge. This antique gauge came from the Leyland and Birmingham Rubber Company in Leyland Lancashire. We were lucky enough to acquire a number of pressure gauges and boiler room thermometers. This particular pressure gauge came from a rubber moulding press that was made in the 1950s. To highlight the main pressure gauge we used an intricate array of 3/4 inch heavy steel tubing and 3/4 fittings. There are two further antique brass pressure gauges, an antique 3/4 inch boiler room tap and a stunning wheel valve.. All of the brass parts were lightly cleaned and then sealed with clear lacquer so you dont have to spend all of your time polishing them. To support such a large array of antique parts we have made a base from a 1950’s treadle saw drive wheel. This had a fantastic patina when we acquired it and it was perfect for the base. All of the metal parts on this lamp feature welded joints and the entire lamp is sealed with 3 coats of clear lacquer. The lamp is fitted with 3 antique styled brass light fittings which have been professionally wired with period correct braided. There are 3 vintage styled wire frame cages on each light fitting. The Lamp has a generous 1.5 metre cord which has an inline switch and plug pre-fitted. To complete the lamp, we have fitted 3, E27 smoked Edison vintage incandescent bulbs. The gentle soft light from these bulbs brings out all the colours of the lamp. This is not just beautiful lamp but a great piece of art that is guaranteed to be a conversation piece for years to come! The lamp has the following approximate dimensions.
