This Gothic Cuirass consists of a breastplate and a backplate that is handcrafted from 16 gauge steel; the two halves of this torso armour are fitted together with a set of thick leather shoulder and side straps coupled with adjustable steel buckles. An additional waist strap and buckle secure the bottom of the armour into position. The breastplate is articulated between the upper cuirass plate and the lower plackart plate with sliding rivets to give it some articulation between these two large overlapping breastplate components. The three smaller plates are also articulated on their rivets. The backplate is likewise articulated with leather straps between the two larger body plates and the lower plates.
